The Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Serano has directed that the flags at the Supreme Court and all the courts nationwide will be flown at half mast to mourn for the death and passing of the former chief justice Renato Corona.

It also seems that Renato Corona has suffered from diabetes and the SC PIO Office said that the viewing of Renato Corona will start tomorrow(April 30, 2016) at The Heritage Park in Taguig City.

The Malacañang has also extended their condolences to the family of the former SC CJ Corona. Corona was appointed by the former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the year 2010 as the Chief Justice, that succeeded Reynato Puno, and was impeached in the year 2012 because he was found guilty of his failure to disclose his assets in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).
